We just got back from our district conference and President Robison has just given all the missionaires permission to text and view the internet - BUT only to investigaors and members and leaders of the church. He said they are finding that everyone communicates through their text messages and internet so the church is getting on board with technology. They have created a new web site called Mormon.org. It is a website that tells about people who are mormons. They have a profile and tell a little bit about themselves so others can see we are just normal people. At the end they can give their feelings on different issues of the church. We now have about 1200 and they expect in the thousands by the end of the year. We are encouraged to use this tool in our missionary work because people are willing to look things up on the internet that they never would otherwise. Technology is coming to the church. They have purchased advertising space on fox news, cnn and others for people who are just browsing to click into and find out about the church. I know they are being inspired because this is great. We have already given out some of the pass along cards to some people on the reservation. I am posting a copy of one of them. It is very simple and yet very profound. Why don't you try it. Of course, tell us so we can view you when we are showing investigators.
