Dad and I went to visit the Petroglyphs in our area. These petroglyphs (rock carvings) were made over 600 years ago. These were the people of Jornada molgollon prehistoric Indian culture which there are no modern descendants. Some of these petroglyphs depict animals and plants the people saw around them. Many almost certainly had a religious meaning. They have endured for centuries.
