Hey everyone. My goal to see a bear came true. The owner of the building told us to go out one more time to see if we couldn't see the bear. So we woke up at 1:00 a.m. and went to the dumpster. This time we didn't park as close, but believe me, it was close enough when he appeared. Before he came we actually saw a small mountain lion, a skunk, and a racoon. But when the bear came, they all disappeared. He walked to silently along, we hardly were aware he was there. He is HUGE! The first time we saw him he went straight to the dumpster and got a few bags and went back into the ravine to eat his findings. We waited longer and sure enough, he appeared again! This time he scared me to death. Here I was sitting with my window open and my camera ready, I think he might of heard a noise because he came closer to the car and looked right at me. I was sooooo scared I just sat there. Then he turned around and went back to the dumpster and got more food. I took several pictures, but not all of them turned out. This is the best I could get. But believe me it was exciting. I have never been so close to one before. Then I got real scared when dad said he was unable to wind the window up because the car was off. Oh my! A lady in the store told me that if he wanted, he could have picked up our and car and treated us like a toy. So I guess We won't be going back. I got to see my Bear and I got a picture.
