We were very lucky to have an Apache Feast while Marci and Brian came. We drove up into the mountains up a ten mile dusty, bumpy, rutted road to the ceremonial feast grounds. But it was worth it when we got there because it was a beautiful sight. They had their teepees all up all over and a large arbor set up for the food. It is one of the most beautiful sites I have seen on the reservation and very large and roomy. We even got to talk to the young maiden who the feast ws being held for. We stood in the huge line for our food along with all the other indians and waited for the crown dancers to come out at dusk. They danced and sang until the wee hours of the morning but we had to leave. But is was worth the trip.
