Help them find you.

While we were at district conference our mission mother gave a talk on prayer. She mentioned that often times we as missionaries ask for help in finding people. She suggested that we ask our Heavenly Father to help someone find us.

One day when we were on the way to Mescalero, I said I wasn't going home until I found someone to teach. So we decided to take this challenge and ask the Lord to help someone to find us today to teach. We went from door to door, knocking and being turned away. We finally decided that we had saturated this area and probably should begin a new area. As we drove down the road we looked up at the Mescalero church house. There was a red truck sitting right at the front door. So we drove up there and began visiting with them. It was a father and a son who were waiting for his daughter to get off work. They like this spot because it has such a nice view of the city and mountains. As we visited with them, we asked them what they knew about the Mormon church. Can you believe this???? They didn't know anything. Soooo, we invited them into the church house and gave them a Book of Mormon and told them a little about the gospel. They were very interested!!!! However, he has lots and lots of problems, but we told him the Lord could help him with all of them. Our prayer was answered. THESE TWO PEOPLE FOUND US RIGHT IN FRONT OF OUR CHURCH HOUSE.
