Old Mill in Ruidoso

This is an original building in Ruidoso that used to be the center focus in town. It was a grist mill, saloon, store and a hiding place for Billy the kid. One time they hid him in a flour barrell when the sheriff was looking for him. It is not in working condition and they have tried to renovate it as best they could. It brought back memories of the old water wheel I used to play on when I was a kid in Elsinore. We used to climb to the top and ride the wheel down and jump into the canal. Now I know some of you are saying, I thought mom didn't like water. Well the canal was only knee deep. But there were some good memories made there.
